Becoming Wild … a meditation on beauty in the natural world

My good friend Sheila B. likes to say “quit your meaness”. We are enveloped in a sea of mean these days. Come to my new documentary and focus on the beautiful. Who knows? You might even go wild yourself!

With her community transforming and biodiversity slipping away, a filmmaker sets out to reimagine beauty – not in manicured lawns, but in the wild, breathing world just beyond the back door – her own backyard.

The world premiere is set for April 11, 2026 at The Lyceum. Sponsored by The Alexandria Film Festival and the 4 Mile Run Conservancy.

Jeremy Tidd, owner of Bona Terra, a sustainable native plant nursery, will be out in the parking lot with native wildflowers for sale!
