What is beauty?

“Nature is beautiful because it is alive, moving, reproductive. The question of Beauty takes us out of surfaces, to thinking of the foundations of things. In nature we observe growth and development in living things.”  Ralph Waldo Emerson ( 1838 )

This new film endeavor contemplates the beauty of the natural world. When we understand what beauty is then perhaps we will know how to preserve and protect it.

NOT AN EXIT

How do we get out when there is no exit? Maybe we need to stay in, go a little deeper. That’s not been difficult during these COVID days when we’ve been forced to stay in on lock down. The Local Motion Project was set to perform Not An Exit live until COVID forced them to transform the piece into a film for streaming on line. Their mission is to bring people together in dynamic, collective movement experiences that effect personal growth and social change, teaching dance as a vehicle for expression, connection, and human understanding.  After two cancellations and delays due to COVID, we were finally able to roll cameras on March 7th at Arena Cafe Stage in DC.

It was time to go out again, anew. Check out the film on April 10, 2021, 7PM. Link to tickets here: bit.ly/notanexit2021
